Due to an umpire cancellation, tomorrow's middle school baseball game vs Dieterich will now be a 7pm start. Due to the time change, there will be no jv innings played.
We have added a home HS JV baseball game on Wed, 9/7 7pm vs Neoga.
The varsity volleyball game at Woodlawn will resume on Wed, 9/21 6:15pm start time in the 3rd set with a score of SC 11 Woodlawn 7. Bus time will be 4:50pm from Kinmundy.
There have been some changes made to the middle school tournament schedules for tomorrow, 8/27. Updated schedules are below.

WE HAVE HAD A GREAT FIRST FULL WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!! We are so proud of the students, parents, bus drivers, all school staff, and the community for helping get this year off to a great start!!! THANK YOU!!!
A couple of reminders:
*WATER BOTTLES - We aren't using the water fountains again this year to help keep from spreading germs. PLEASE make sure your kids is bringing a water bottle each day or send them one to keep here at school.
*MORNING DROP-OFFS - If you are dropping your child off in the mornings, be sure and drop them off at the new gym door between 7:45 - 7:55 so everyone will have time to eat breakfast, if they choose. Our classes beginnings promptly at 8:10.

South Central High School has picture day tomorrow Friday Aug. 26th. We will have Senior tux and drape pics as well as student and staff pictures. Students may pick up order forms from the office.
Friday's HS baseball game at Lions Field vs Windsor/SS will now be a 7:30pm varsity only game. There will be no JV game at 4:30pm.
Cougar baseball at home tomorrow 8/23 vs Dieterich at 4:30.
Lady Cougar volleyball opens tomorrow night 8/23 at Ramsey at 6:15
Our district, K-12th grades will be conducting the Back to School STAR Testing Assessments Monday 8/22 - Wednesday 8/24. This information will be used to determine the academic levels of each student in reading and math. Parent Reports will be sent home at the end of the week. Please encourage your child to try their best! Thank you for your support and help at home!
Kindergarten is learning their colors for the next two weeks of school!!! We want to support them by joining in to wear the Color of the Day!!! If you have clothes of these colors, please wear them each day to support our new Kindergartens!!! Thanks for participating!

If you chose to participate in our Summer Reading Challenge and read 15 books this summer and completed your Summer Reading Log, please return it to school to your new teacher on Thursday, Aug. 18 when you come to meet your teacher & bring your supplies or you can bring it on Friday morning, Aug. 19. All Summer Reading Logs must be turned in by 10:00 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 to be recognized at the "Back-to-School Kick-Off Assembly!!!
South Central High School will be offering tours of the high school for any new students and incoming freshman on the following days:

Middle school softball at Dieterich today has been moved up to a 4pm start to avoid potential storms. Bus time is now 2:30pm from the middle school.
SCHS students that did not make it to registration can come in next week Monday Aug. 8th thru Friday August 12th from 8:30 to 12:00 and get registered for the 2022-2023 school year.
SCMS softball game for today has been cancelled. No practice today. Practice tomorrow 3-4:30pm
The 2021/2022 SCHS Yearbooks are in. If you ordered one you can stop by the high school office next week on Monday 8/8 thru Friday 8/12 between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm and pick it up.
