As a friendly helper, we wanted to take a moment to encourage you to attend these valuable sessions. Parent-teacher conferences provide a wonderful opportunity for you to engage with your child's education journey. It's a chance to connect with their teachers, gain insights into their progress, and build a strong partnership to support their learning. Walk-ins are welcome or if you would like to schedule an appointment please call the high school office. P/T Conferences are on Oct. 26 from 3:00 to 7:00 and Oct. 27 from 8:00 to 12:00.

This week is red ribbon week at SCMS! During lunch this week Student Council is selling pop sockit’s, rally towels, scms flags, water bottles, and bracelets for Red Ribbon Week.
Students will also have the opportunity to purchase candy and chips during their lunch hour throughout the week.
This week is Red Ribbon Week at the elementary school! Tomorrow is Pajama Day! Wear you pajamas or comfy clothes to support saying NO to drugs!
SCMS Parent Teacher Conferences are Oct. 26th and 27th. Please call the SCMS office at 547-7734 to schedule your appointments!!
Students will be dismissed at 11:45am on the 26th, and there is no school on the 27th.

SCMS boys basketball open gym for today has been canceled. All students will be sent home at 11:45am for early dismissal.

Kindergarten has been learning about Fire Safety this week! A big "Thank You" to the Kinmundy Fire Department and Mr. Chasteen for bringing a fire truck to our school!
SCMS is having an "Advisory Day" at Happy Hollow pumpkin patch this Friday, Oct. 13th! Please make sure your student dresses in appropriate clothes and shoes for the weather! We will returning to the school by 11:30am as this is also an 11:45am dismissal day for school improvement!

SCMS REMINDER: Please remind your student to plug in and charge their Chromebook completely every night! We have been having an overwhelming number of students come to school unprepared for the day with an uncharged chromebook!

Good morning SC Families. Just a reminder the attendance policy in the student handbook has changed this year. Currently a student is allowed 4 parent approved absences without a doctor's note. Please be diligent about getting a note when you are at the doctor's office. The notes can also be faxed directly to your students school office as well.
Also if your school secretary has requested a Birth Certificate or residency documentation please send it in as soon as possible. It is due in the first 30 days of school.
