
Mrs. King's 1st grade students have been getting into the Christmas spirit, even with the Grinch!











Mrs. Danna's ECE students were so excited to open Christmas gifts and make gingerbread crafts!











Mrs. Dawn and Ms. Connie's Pre-K students have had so much Christmas fun!!!
They have been making reindeer glasses, gingerbread shark magnets, cinnamon ornaments, and salt dough ornaments!









Ms. McCarty's 3rd Grade Class read the story "The Christmas Crocodile!" They got into groups and create posters that include a crocodile and a problem/solution page!









South Central mentor kids made Care Packages for our local shut-ins and bus drivers!

Another very successful Adopt-A-Family season for the SCMS Student Council!!


We've had some great WOW lunch helpers the past few days!! Great job, kids!




Mrs. Amy's Class had a great time making their graham cracker gingerbread houses! Great job, kids!







Miss Blomberg's Kindergarten Class was so proud their Christmas Trees made out of an ice cream cone, icing, and candy!!!





Good afternoon!! Starting tomorrow(Dec. 13th), parent drop off at SCMS will return to its original drop off location on the south side of the parking lot beginning at 7:40am.
If your student is not eating breakfast, they will report to the main gym. If your student will be eating breakfast they will go in the south west set of doors to enter to the cafeteria. We will have staff in place to guide everyone through this time of transition.

We had a great turnout for "Breakfast with Santa" at the elementary school! A big "Thank You" to the South Central PTO for providing this opportunity for our community!











At South Central Elementary, we work every day to help the students develop a love of reading! It was Read Aloud Day in K-2nd Grade! Mrs. Guy and Mrs. Twyla love Christmas and they love moose! They shared the book "Merry Moosey Christmas" by Lynn Plourde! They sang "Jingle Bells" and each student received a Christmas moose to remind them of our story! It's hard to say who has more fun with Read Alouds, the kiddos or Mrs. Guy and Mrs. Twyla! We wish you all a "Merry Moosey Christmas!"









We closed out the month of November at South Central Elementary with our Responsible WOW Students and WOW Day playing Musical Chairs and eating candy canes!!!




Cougars basketball game tonight at 6:00 pm at Mulberry Grove will be broadcast on the NFHS Network.

Mrs. Thomason's 4th graders enjoyed their feast! They had delicious turkey legs!










REMINDER: All South Central schools will be dismissing today at 2 PM for Thanksgiving break. There will be no school Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Have a happy Thanksgiving!

The K-2nd Grade Enrichment students in Mrs. Guy and Mrs. Twyla's class learned a lot of fun interesting facts about cranberries! Cranberries have 4 hollow air chambers that allow them to float. They were challenged to create a "cranberry raft" that would not sink and support weight! Great job, kids!!!











After reading the book, "Balloons Over Broadway," Mrs. Thomason's 4th Grade class had their own Thanksgiving Day Parade! They paraded the K - 5th grade classrooms! "Balloons Over Broadway" is the story of Tony Sarg,
the master puppeteer who invented the first balloons for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.








South Central Elementary School picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, November 30th. Please call the SCE office next week if your student needs retakes.
