Board News May 2026

  • The Board approved the minutes, bills, and treasurer’s report.

  • The Board approved the IASB renewal for 2026-2027.

  • The Board approved the second reading of the March 2026 school board policy revisions.

  • The Board approved pay rates for sports officials effective July 1, 2026.

  • The Board approved the food bids from Kohl Wholesale, S & L Produce, and Prairie Farms for the 2026-2027 school year.

  • The Board awarded the HVAC bid for South Central High School to Culbertson Heating and Cooling, Inc.

  • The Board adopted a resolution abating the working cash fund.

  • The Board approved a payment of $2,000 towards 2026 FBLA National Conference expenses.

  • The Board approved these field trips: SCMS 8th Grade Class to Holiday World on May 13, 2026 and SCHS FBLA National Leadership Conference to San Antonio, TX on June 29 - July 2, 2026.

  • The Board ratified the two year contract between South Central School Board of Education and South Central Education Association effective July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028.

  • The Board approved hiring Natasha Skibinski as an unpaid Volunteer Assistant Track Coach for South Central Middle School effective the 2025-2026 school year.

  • The Board accepted the letter of resignation from Brock Adams as paid Assistant 5th/6th Basketball Coach.

  • The Board accepted the letter of resignation from Jacob Skibinski as paid Assistant Boys Baseball Coach at South Central Middle School.

  • The Board accepted the letter of resignation from Dereck Koester as Certified Employee and as paid Science Club Sponsor for South Central CUSD #401 effective the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

  • The Board accepted the letter of resignation from Bianca Devor as Support Staff Employee effective May 13, 2026 and as paid Color Guard Sponsor for South Central CUSD #401 for 2026-2027 effective immediately.

  • The Board accepted the letter of resignation from Ashley Rose as lunchroom supervisor for South Central High School effective the end of 2025-2026 school year.

  • The Board approved a LOA request from Melissa Schilling for April 27 - May 1, 2026 and May 4 - 6, 2026.
