Purple Game

On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the South Central High School Cougars hosted the Woodlawn High School Cardinals and joined together to raise funds for Alzheimer's Awareness.

During the basketball game at South Central High School, the two schools competed against each other but also in helping to find the first survivor. There were many activities throughout the evening to help raise funds to be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association. Shirts were sold leading up to the game as well as that night. Also, at the game, a silent auction, bake sale, 50/50 raffle, half-court shot, and pizza sales were held.

This event was sponsored by the South Central High School Future Business Leaders of America. After the game, a donation in the amount of $5,600 was given to the Alzheimer’s Association! This donation puts South Central High School in the top 5 for fundraising efforts in the Nation! This money will go to helping find that first survivor by funding research to find a cure, provide support to all affected, and promote brain health.  Thank you to everyone who contributed in any way!
