In the 6 p.m. meeting the board canvassed the votes in the April election and declared the winners to be Tyler Neilson, Danny Hiestand, and Rob Jones.
The Board then thanked Ann Blomberg for her 24 years of dedicated service as a SC School board member.
In the 6:05 meeting the Board approved the minutes, bills, and treasurer’s report.
The Board approved the renewal of the Illinois Association of School Board’s membership.
The Board approved the Superintendent to place the amended budget on display.
The Board approved purchasing a new John Deere tractor from Riechmann Brothers for district use.
The Board heard a review of the construction timeline for May/June 2023.
The Board approved a resignation from Carrie Reed effective the end of the school year.
The Board approved a letter of retirement from Jane Miller effective at the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
The Board approved hiring Bethany Lane as district bookkeeper.
Ryan Kappler and Sara Beth Williams were hired as certified staff.
The Board appointed:Kendall Burleyson as SCMS Volleyball Coach, Shane Lother as Senior Class Sponsor/Choir Sponsor, Danielle Chasteen as Freshman Class Sponsor, Amanda Guerrattaz as Junior Class Sponsor, and Kara Schukar as Marching Band sponsor.
