April 2023 Board Actions
The Board approved the minutes, bills, and treasurer’s report.
The Board approved selling up to $3 million in alternate revenue bonds; payments will be made by 1% sales tax proceeds.
The Board approved the Treasurer’s Bond renewal.
The Board renewed its membership in the IESA.
The Board renewed a cooperative agreement with St. Peter Lutheran like has been done already this year. The renewal is for 2023-2024, 2024-2025 school years.
The Board approved the recommendation by Superintendent Kerry Herdes to not charge SC students any admission fee to attend games in the district. They will get in free.
The Board granted the Superintendent permission to amend the budget for the 2022-2023 school year.
The Board approved going out for bids on food, bread, milk and fuel for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Board approved 2 field trips: Art Club to STL Museum on 5/20/23 and the Science Club to Holiday World on 5/25/23.
The Board accepted the resignation from Courtney Roth as a Certified Staff Member, Student Council Sponsor, Junior Class Sponsor, and Ass’t HS Volleyball Coach and SCMS Volleyball coach effective the end of 2022-2023 school year.
The Board accepted a letter of resignation from Jessica Phillips as a Certified Staff member effective the close of the 2022-2023 school year.
The Board appointed Aimee Moore as SCMS Scholar Bowl coach.
The Board approved an FMLA for Jane Miller beginning 5/16/23.
The Board approved hiring Danielle Chasteen and Kara Schukar as full time Certified Staff members for the 2023-2024 school year.
The next school board meeting will be held on 5/15/23 instead of 5/17/23 to seat the new board.
