National Honor Society
Sponsor: Mrs. Kimberly Smith
National Honor Society promotes honorable recognition for junior and senior students who reflect accomplishments in the areas of academics, character, leadership, and service. Scholarship agencies and college admission offices look at membership as a valid indicator that the applicant can succeed at the collegiate level. Members of the society are to fulfill the mot, "Noblesse Oblige," with behavior that is honorable, responsible and generous to others. The high school chapter provides members with the opportunity to share talents (sacrifice of time and willingness to render cheerful and enthusiastic service) with other students in various other school projects. If selected to the South Central High School chapter, students are recognized at the Honors Banquet held each spring.
